About Hand Sewing

☛ Why we honor and insist on sewing our leather product by hand ?

At Litcharm, we choose to hand sew our leather pieces because craftsmanship matters.

Most leather sewing machines use a lock stitch. If one stitch breaks, the thread can begin to loosen from both sides, and the seam may gradually unravel. In contrast, our products are sewn by hand using the traditional saddle stitch technique. This method creates two independent threads that pass through each hole in opposite directions, forming a stronger, more secure construction. Even if one stitch is damaged, the rest will remain intact!

Hand sewing takes more time and skill, but the result is worth it. The stitching is tighter, more durable, and better suited to high-quality leather goods. Each piece is carefully crafted to ensure long-lasting strength and to stand the test of time.
